National Novel Writing Month is every November. The aim is to write 50,000 words in a month. Last year, I got up to 26,000 on an Icar story. This year, I'm going to try again. It was a challenge and lots of fun. It starts tomorrow. I just want to see how far I can get.
Anyone fancy joining in?

[47107] A six grand jump is not a bit of writing, that's a mass of it. You're back in the running fo sho. I've had a weekend of flying, which has slowed up my progress but I am hoping to still make the grade by Friday. I mustn't forget to paste it into the word calculator to get my official recognition!
[40754] might have a chance of pulling this off.
God yeah, go EMW!
[42360] getting there just need to work in a climatic fight on top of the golden gate bridge in an airship ... oh no wait that was view to a kill.
Hell yeah, mate! GO GO GO!
Your come back is legendary, mate. If you manage it from this point, I'll buy you a beer!
[49927] Oh god, at the end of lunch today, I only have 80 odd words left. I thought I'd upload it onto Google docs before I left for the end of the day and I find this out! ARGH! Can't wait to get home.
I probably have another 1000 words of story to finish off and I need to think of a good final few paragraphs.
[43799] I'm now slightly over the projected point and I've decided I don't like my title
I heard something on the radio this morning about this seems like they were advertising it rather late. They had this rather sour woman who was a publisher or some such saying it was all a waste of time and would just add a load of rubbish to her "slush" pile completely missing the point of it.
[50862] WON! But not finished...
Waste of time? Surely not! I feel like I've achieved something. Yes, it might be a load of old tosh but I know I have written a novel. Perhaps not the best novel I've ever written but a novel nonetheless. Everyone has one inside them, it's just a matter of getting it out.
Now mate, you need to join me in the winners circle. Only a few thousand left to go, the downhill slope. Ah go on, the computer game can wait a few days. ;-)
[51239] It's a finished story now (at the end of lunch).
Read the whole thing:

[44578] little more at lunch
[47313] Few words before Mass Effect, gotta save a posh space prostitute from bad rumours using only my killing fists
GO GO GO!
[48163] few words at lunch
COME ON THEN! You'd be mad to miss the target, less than 2000 words to go!
[51,121] Done, glad that's out the way bit of a trial towards the end.
The writing was always fun but the pace was a bit punishing.
CONGRATULATIONS!
You've done an amazing job, mate. Halfway through, it looked like you'll never pull it back but you did it. :) Perhaps you could publish your book using Google Docs so we can have a read?
Gratz man! I am impressed.
Well done lads.
Nice one. That's a lot of words...
I put it on google docs http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dccdj56r_3cw4wjn
