I parked my car across the road from my parents house today and some sod has stolen my number plates. I've report this most horrible crime to the police and I hope they catch the bastards. Its more of an annoyace then anything else but no doubt someone is going to be running around with my plates on.
As the police chap on the phone pointed out number plates are a rather rubbish system and its about time that they tied in numberplates with a better system then our paper tax easy to fake disc.
Its more of an agravting then anything else cos it means untill i replace the plates I'm effectively driving about illegal.

What a bastard, may the fine officers of the met do their duty by you and beat the little fucker with the plates.
So what do I need in able to replace my plates:

Driving Licence
Utility Bill
Or I can order it on the web without those. What a fine system we have here.
Order any plates you like. DW41N, for example. You might as well, they won't stay on your car for long.
No doubt you'll be arrested for ram raiding a Soho porn shop in the near future.

My new plates arrived this morning in the post, £22.48 and no handing over my V5 or providing ID who says the internet is just for porn.
It's for crime too. :)
I've not done anything criminal the company providing them may well be in breach of law, but I'm no lawyer.
