I'm cutting back on things to resolve to do and instead go for a balance. Family takes priority and after that I find that I have a little more time the older Felix gets. Overall, I want to balance creative stuff (Icar, playing bass) with brain stuff (going through algorithm books, coding neural networks) with gaming (Minecraft and with friends) with body stuff (running). Here are things I want to do this year. I found that things like "blog regularly" were difficult to achieve but they weren't specific enough.
Although work is likely to demand silly hours this year, I can't see myself doing them. I don't really need the extra money and I don't like being so tired I can't do stuff in the evenings. That's no life at all.
- Finish Icar Fleet setting.
- Finish going through my algorithms books on the off-chance tha Google do get back to me.
- Run twice a week
- Write at least 250 words a day, these can be for the Icar novel, the Icar blog, the Fleet setting or the Free RPG Blog.
- Go to LEGOLand (expect a list of dates in the near future)
- Kill off overdraft then begin overpaying and trust funding
- Do something with friends at least once a week and hopefully go to The Swamp once a month.

So this is me for 2015. Not a brilliant year.

And I didn't. I gave them very achievable goals, under which circumstances I would work longer hours. They didn't meet them so spectacularly, I eventually resigned.
So, along with a few other disasters, it's not been a very good year. Bah.
