Talking with estate agents

Spent saturday going from estate agent to estate agent finding none of them had anyone useful in on a saturday. This meant I spent monday fielding calls from the people I wanted to talk to on saturday . None of them wouldn’t talk details over the phone so I had to make appointments with them. The up shot of which is I’ll be seeing a range of them over the next two weeks.

It seems very difficult to get information out of these people. I basically wanted details on what their management services would cost me so I can tell if I can afford to rent my flat out or if I need to dispose of it. So far the only information I got was an information pack from one of them, which perversely contained no actual information just fluff pieces on how great they were.

I have in the mean time been tidying and painting and generally sprucing up the flat. All those little jobs I’d put off now have to be done and fast. It’s putting a damper on my gaming time.

Hopefully my passport and visa will turn up today, though this might not be a good thing as my boss is making noises about sending me out to try and fix some things in the US which would delay things quite a bit. I guess we shall see how things go.

One issue Gill came across when looking to rent hers was the terms of the mortgage...some lenders won't let you rent. I'd hope the estate agents can advise on this...hers were a bit useless unfortunately...

Personally I'd ignore any lenders small print with regards to renting the property.

indeed it's one of the things I need to sort out. If they won't rent it will mean I'll have to sell

I'm having them value it for sale at the same time as going over the rental stuff to cover all bases.

I've currently got meeting with four different estate agents, I intend to paint numbers on them and race them
