Baby Defcon 2

So, we've done our last National Childcare Trust (NCT) meeting and all the NHS healthcraft lessons, so we're 'ready'. Of course, no one is ready when the baby actually arrives but I'm ready enough. We know what we want when Kate goes into labour - did you know that there are lots of choices? You can have your baby in a whole host of different ways these days! I know about nappies, breastfeeding, how to clean it and what it's going to be doing when. We're correctly equipped, we have a room and all the tools you need to fix the baby. We even have a name now - which won't be released until he arrives.

Now we're just waiting for the chap to arrive. Kate is "full term" this Saturday, which is 3 weeks before the due date. Full Term really means "Yeah, it's normal from this point on" so my phone is set to loud and I've given up alcohol for a while (or forever if you listen to the cynics, which I don't).

How will it disrupt stuff? No idea. We'll find out. My brother in law still managed to do triathlons like Pete with two kids, my sister is back to work so they manage to do stuff for themselves, there's no reason I can't!

Looking at the title I thought this was some interesting new title in introversion's defcon games which as it turns out isn't the subject of the post ... I'm disappointed now I was excited about what the new game baby defcon 2 would entail :S :D
