Chom Isis 3 Beta 2- Call for Players
Distinguished Gentlemen,
It is my pleasure and honour to announce the call for players for the second Chom Isis 3 Beta game. The game will commence at noon on Friday 10th July 2009. Please register on the site now. The usual rules apply regarding player names.
Chom Isis 3 is now in a playable state but may contain some bugs. Please use the
new bug tracking form (self explanatory) for reporting new bugs or issues.
There is a guide, which will need a good read through and I recommend reading that guide as Chom Isis 3 differs greatly from Chom Isis 2. There is no upper limit on the number of players for this test so everyone can get stuck in. I am anticipating there to be no more bugs in the system (an outrageous claim, I know), unlike the last game, where I imagined there would be. After this one, the next game will be a world-and-their-mother playing game.
I look forward to witnessing the impending massacre.

(I've just realised that I haven't uploaded the images directory for the help page! Will do at lunchtime today)
Help images are now all present and correct.
I'm missing images under
Pawns
Happiness - Keeping your Pawns alive
2 Life Inputs with 3 dots associated with Deviants with 3 dots =
and pawns dying
Cool, I'll fix those. Thanks! (And thanks for the bug report)
Chom Isis 3 Beta 2 - Starts at Noon today! I'm very excited.
Gutted I can't play this time :-(
Seems I have a problem with the system. Will restart on Monday at Noon.
That's fucking annoying. Ever so fucking annoying.
How many fucking times have I kicked this fucking thing off and it's been cunting fucking well ok?
Well, I found the bug. I am tempted just to start the game and see what happens!
Right, I've switched it back on and sent an email. Sorry for the delay.
Is there a link to the bugs already posted available for the players?
Sure! The ones I've greyed out are fixed.

Well, the beta is going well. There were a few little bugs but nothing on the scale of the Great End Game Bug of 2009. I'm still tweaking and playing with numbers but it's looking pretty solid. I wonder if there are going to be any co-ordinated attacks.
Not a bug, more a request, and wonder what other people think:
In the auctions, can it sort so the nearest end time and smallest current bid first, rather than sorting to the longest time remaining and the greatest current bid first?
(so direction up on first click, direction down on second click, rather than the way it is now)
Good idea! Pop it into the bug system as a new feature type and I'll get it in for the full game.
