RPB World Tour - website up

Right. Matt and I are currently sat in a hotel in San Francisco. In order to allow to follow our progress we've (well, Matt has, I just pestered him) set up a section of the main Badger website to take our updates and also our Picasa feeds.

These have also been added to the RPB RSS feed ;)

OK. Letlagged and in need of food. This post isn't exactly a masterwork but it'll do.

Byrn

I'm impressed at the amount of gadgets you've taken with you... looking forward to seeing the pictures come in!

To act as Byrnie and Matts pimp, they have updated their site with their trip to Alcatraz, and an inordinate number of photos of the TransAm building...

Cheers Pete, we did indeed. We're now uploading the next day's stuff, on the Golden Gate bridge.

It is indeed your favourite Dwain, which was a factor in choosing it ;) we have two left. They're in the safe :D

'lo all. We've noticed that the trip posts page is sluggish or missing depending on load. We suspect this is due to the parsing of the growing Picasa feed. We're looking into it now.

For your convenience, we're doing this in the middle of the night :P

(Edit) We have a fix in place. Its not pretty, but the Google API we're using isn't exactly cooperative. Surely its not that unusual to want a feed of the most recent pictures? Apparently it is.

Awesome photo. I love the shot in Byrnies gallery showing how the camera was set up...

The location stuff was definitely worth doing (Link to Matts Photo Map...warning, this may take a while to load!)...seeing your progression along the waterfront is a handy thing to have. I see Matt's in the lead on trigger-happiness right now :-)

It's great. I'm going to catch up with the progress before dinner tonight. It looks like you're having a cracking time.

To pimp again, they have hit Vancouver, and have put up an inordinate number of squirrel pictures, as well as detailing adventures in Wi-Fi...

Spotted :P

I'm also on in your evening a bit, but that will all change when we change to NZ...

For convenience, I've added the RPB World Tour link to the Primary links, so as and when Byrnies post starts to sink down the page you can still quickly see their updates!

I think tomorrow they are diving the barrier reef, so fingers crossed we'll see some of the results of Byrnies enclosure for his camera.

I spent some time last night going through their photos of New Zealand, including tonnes of panoramas from Byrnie, and some awesome shots of Mount Doom!

We are indeed. Just finished preparing the cases, installing the filters and about to go to bed...

Will be updating the blog to current sometime soon.

Just been looking through the dive photos now, and reading Matt's blog. Awesome stuff. Hats off to Matt for getting into the dive spirit so quickly (what a place to learn!), though I think Byrnie just edges it in picture quality...there are a few truely awesome shots in there!

Very jealous...

It was a great place to be introduced to diving and I was lucky that I got to do the 3 dives on the day.

I've redone the photos with a bit of post processing which has brought the colours out a bit more.

Hard to believe you're back this weekend. You've covered a _lot_ of ground...

We should sort out a gaming session once you're back and recovered, and you can tell us all about it over the course of an intergalactic war...

Sounds good. Matt's up for that too...

We're just off out to the laundrette. Should be back about afternoon tea-ish. (your time :P)

He has indeed sourced Road to Legend. I'd advise those likely to play to grab the rules from the FFG website (if they haven't already) and have a peruse.

Personally, I think it looks good. Cant speak for the balance without playing it for a bit, but it looks like a lot of the annoyance should have been dealt with.

Excellent. I shall give them a read through tonight. I read the articles they did before the release, and the concepts sounded very good...

Likewise.

How's this coming weekend for people, gaming wise? (my grammar is teh suck today)

Indeed Welcome back!

no wait that's me ... Jet lag is like being wrapped in cotton wool and tipped into hot sand while reading national geographic upside-down

I can also do the 3rd

Thanks.

I was alright earlier but my brain is now asking why I'm still at work at midnight...

You're not wrong. I was up at 7:30 this morning.

My alarms weren'e due to go off for nearly an hour when my brain decided it was time to get up.

I'll be back to normal soon.

(I actually typed "I'll be back to morning soon". Brain no worky.)
