So another bloody launcher just popped up presumably as an advance move to get RDR2 sales and microtransactions in house for more cash when the game comes to PC at some point in the future
However they've also retrofitted it into the Steam versions of things like GTAV such that it won't launch without it breaking things like Offline mode
I'm also seeing some reports that it has extra drm or just shitty networking stuff which causes the game to load even slower than it already does.
You can get a free copy of GTA:SA (although its supposedly the port of the mobile version)

Can I say no?
It doesn't appear so sounds like it won't run without it and it will auto install if it's not present
In which case I will say, balls.
Although the auto install was when someone had previously installed it then uninstalled it and reran gtav in steam so I don't know if you can just not install it at all and then it won't install itself via the update process.
I gave it a go on my non-steam version, it tried to do an update, which I denied windows permissions and the game launched normally; the only problem with this being that I probably won't get game updates anymore.
I guess with steams automatic updates it might well sneak in unchallenged
Still fucking crashes for me at random. Raised a support ticket; did everything they asked. They closed it. Fuck em.
