I also see shark cards are on offer too

So, $8m is approx. 50 sales, although given damage, lets say 51. if you can manage to sell on every 30 min you olnly have ot play for ... 25.5 hours, easy money ... ... ...
With this bonus and fitting in some VIP work (and good timing and you don't get attacked too mcuh) you can probably earn around $400k an hour so best case $8m is more like 20h ... which is obviously a much easier target ... ... ... this game is going to kill me.
In theory you could probably make more by ding some bunker delieries in that time (I am still running as research) but that adds quite a bit more risk.

I kind of hope the expansion hooks into existing businesses rather than being totally new; i.e. the goods you smuggle come from one of your warehouses, drug factories, bunker and even your care warehouse, rather than having a whole new warehouse to fill independently at the hanger.

Big Bob, dispose of some of that disposible income FFS and not ruin yourself on the game!
There's so much to do in GTA now, it's great. I've been filling my car warehouse, running some crates, even randomly helping randoms out, topping up the bunker.
There's also so much to save up for now; way more than is reasonable to so in game. So I'm now picking and choosing. Given my play time is a little bit limited, I think I'm going to need to shark card at some point. I think that's fair, I've got 250hrs out of the game.

Decided to do a quick bunker supply mission just after you left tonight got the alturist camp flew the oppressor over took the thing was on my way back. Clipped a ledge when coming in to recharge the booster physics went haywire tossed me way up in the air so I had to parachute back down my oppresser landed on the train tracks as a train was coming. I landed on the train and watch it push the oppressor in front of it for miles.

Odd looking at the mails it does say 29th on them but I'm pretty sure the ingame loading screen versions said 28th maybe they pushed it back and forgot to change the images.
Saw an odd thing with Bunkers last night even set to full research mode they seem to slowly accumulate a small amount of product. I think Bigbob had this too in his bunker. Seems to be something like 7k dollars per full research or something like that so nothing much but still an oddity.
Also looked into the Ballistic/Juggernaut armor as it was my last unlock it cost 500k to buy then it's 5k to deploy. Expensive but not in the completely unusable range. I might think about investing in it once the smuggler run stuff has settled as it might make a useful mayhem tool.
The multiple car selling in rotation thing we did after rob left where we would sell off two of my cars then two of Bigbobs restock then repeat worked pretty well. It would work better if we could steal more than a single car at a time or maybe if we had access to a cargobob so could go cargobob to get the car buzzards/oppressor/hydra for support. It topped my money up to a million for not a lot of work I might grind out some more to be ready for the update.
Not sure if I'll be on next weekend as I'm out at PAX so even if I'm not doing something I'll be relying on hotel internets which usually struggles with email.

60K, not to be sniffed at! I do like the HGV wedge. I wish that there were more trucking type missions to make use of it. I've seen a whole bunch of people say that they want to just be a long distance GTA trucker - with all of the other-player madness that goes with it.

Based on reddit, will probably buy a hanger and then be back to pennyless.

Damn the new planes look pricey mostly in the 4-5mil buy now with some reduction after running some sort of missions ala special vehicles and bunker vehicles. Seems like that's only the start of the pain as they come without any of the toys and you have to upgrade from there to get the weapons and things like boosters.
The addition of anti missile defence with chaff or flares as an add on is nice. plus the option to customise exisiting pegasus vehicles (though not very much mainly just paint) is a nice addition
Being able to purchase a hanger at fort zancudo and then just drive onto the base is interesting it looks like the cheapest hanger is 1.2 mil with the most expensive 3 something but of course that's bare bones. It seems like most of the upgrades are mostly cosmetic none of the mobile op center you have to have this bit to mod things shenanigans.
Might see if I can get a hanger on the base it's then close to bike club and bunker but I'll see
Submitted by Evilmatt on Tue, 2017-08-29 21:14
The tula looks like it would be a lot of fun but asking price is 5 mil with the reduced price 3.9 mil
It's a bomber seaplane with vtol and a forward machine gun and a rear facing manned turret. Also options for jato units.
So far this is the only plane that I might consider saving for or at least waiting till it's on offer :S
Submitted by Evilmatt on Tue, 2017-08-29 21:19
Ok so I got a hanger found I was a little short of the cheapest fort zancudo so ran a quick car sale to get the extra cash. Wish it was still double money :S
Then I cruised over to the hanger there are three on the base they are mostly next to each other so I'm not sure why you would pay an extra million to be slightly closer to the runway. Mine is pretty close to the big open hanger where there is often a tank and seems pretty good. YOu get a free plane with the hanger but not a very good one think it's a cuban
The aircraft modification requires another million to get which I don't have but I can always pick that up down the line currently I can't afford even the cheapest of the new airplanes.
I did the startup mission and then took a look at things. It's very similar to the crates except rather than the thing you go after being random it has several different sorts of goods you can steal. Like chemicals, drugs, contraband etc. Each one is a separate category and when you source it has it's own cool down so you can source a good then right away source a different one and so on. You get one of the thing per source mission not sure if it multiplies with more people something to try.
The sourcing missions are a lot like the bunker resupply missions they are varied and usually provide a special vehicle to use in this case planes rather than land vehicles. Like the resupply missions most of the time the provided vehicle is not really appropriate especially for a solo player and you are better off in the hydra or buzzard. One good thing about having your hanger on fort zancudo is it acts as the nearest pegasus drop point for aircraft so you can spawn a hydra or buzzard and it's right there.
Anyway the source missions are similar sorts of things destroy all the trucks take out the people it's a similar pattern but this time you get the new aircraft to play with and there is a focus on bombing things. To the extent that buzzard missiles often don't lock on to the targets.
I did a few missions and found them of variable difficulty and often quite time consuming they give you 15 mins or so (sometimes 20 I think) and often I was just sneaking it in under the wire. Some of that is because I was trying the bombing which is bloody difficult to do for any of the planes slightly easier in the helicopter or vtol types.
I ran six missions one of which I ran out of time on. The first was take a plane shoot down some merryweather planes in a dog fight then retrieve a package bring it back to the base. It gave me a Western rogue to do it in a single prop fighter plane like a spitfire sort of thing with missiles and guns. Very maneuverable and average speed. I shot down a load of lazers and one of them dropped the cargo lock ons were easily broken with some rapid maneuvers. Then I had to get the cargo, not sure if you can pick it up mid air but I didn't manage it so I had to land to get it. The cargo helpfully landed on one of the nightmare spaghetti junctions bits of the motorway and when I landed I mostly killed the plane. Then I got run over a lot and spent a lot of time respawning nowhere near an entrance to get at the cargo. Eventually I got it and headed back to the plane it flew for a bit but a load of buzzards spawned and shot me down the cargo landed on the roof of a house. I tried to get to it but couldn't so spawned a buzzard to get it. I flew towards the base but got shot down and ended up in a huge open area miles from any road with no cover. I would get shot to pieces and died repeatedly I didn't manage to move the cargo back to the hanger.
Next I got a LF-22 Starling a tiny rocket powered bomber looks like it was based on the Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet. Anyway the task was to fly over the plane salvage yard destroy everything and p[ick up the cargo. This plane is very very hard to fly it's horribly unstable and both too slow and too fast depending on if you engage the rocket. I flew over bombing things failing to hit anything improving a little by flying really low but found the plane kept falling out of the sky. Eventually I gave up bailed out walked over and grenaded everything instead. Got the cargo which came inside a buzard so just flew it back. Not a good plane to use.
Next I had to fly to an ocean salvage operation kill everyone get the cargo and for this I got to use the Mammoth Tula a vtol seaplane bomber with jato units. The jato only works on the ground out of vtol mode but they get you airborne really really fast. It's a nice plane to fly maneuverable not very fast but fun. I flew over switched into vtol mode and then bombed them from altitude and used the forward guns to take out a cargo bob. This took a while but the ability to hover made the bombing easier to handle. I landed it in the water swam down got the thing some buzzards spawned so I jumped in switched out of vtol hit the boosters and I was gone. Pretty fun plane very versatile.
Next I had to destroy a load of signal jammers this spawned something really interesting a new helicopter that I'd not seen in any of the blurb and indeed not one you can buy yet. The hunter which looks a bit apache esq. It has some interesting features it's a bomber and has guided missiles it also had barrage missiles (like the normal blind fire non homing but a shit ton at once) and it looks like it has some sort of turret a passenger can use. Really fun piece of kit to fly awesome firepower this might be a buzzard killer. I blew up the jammers and retrieved the stuff.
Next it had me take a Starlite another unavailable plane which is a tiny single prop bomber with a forward facing cannon. It wanted me to destroy trucks and boats to find the goods I tried bombing them with some degree of success then crashed and got stuck in a carpark so summoned the buzzard and blew them up that way. These were protected from lock ons but otherwise unarmed and slow moving so it wasn't that hard.
Final mission was a go to a building smash all the crates find the stuff bring it back. It gave me an unarmed buzzard for this which was a bit useless you fly to the rooftop kill everyone there destroy the crates then armed buzzards spawn and you fly back avoiding them.
When you've got some product you can then do a sale mission here the difference is that if you sell more of a single type of item there is a bonus each "crate" sells for 10K and the missions are heavily weighted to multiple people and somewhat tricky. The first one I did one with three different goods and it wasn't too bad just to try it out (this was just after the startup mission) it gave me a starlight and then something like 6 drop points. The thing is very maneuverable I flew it off and then two single prop fighters appeared they locked on once I swung round behind them and had no troubles from then on. I tried shooting them down but couldn't get a good shot with the guns.
Once done you can fly the delivery vehicle back to the hanger for a little rp boost.
The next time was after I'd stocked up and had three of the same type of goods. It was a pretty tough mission one I thing I would have failed on my own in a more active session as even though it was only a 30k sale it spawned three Nagasaki Havok's each with two packages to drop for a total of 6. The havok is a tiny little single seater helicopter with a minigun maybe bombs too. Since it was quiet I could fly the things into town do two drops fly back to the base pick up the next one and repeat to finish. Also rather than the usual drop cargo from altitude thing they usually do it wouldn't let you drop cargo unless you were low altitude almost on the ground and sometimes the drop zone was under something. I had to fly under a overpass and inside a tent thing. For the final drop that nearly went tits up I had to fly the thing into a rail tunnel barely wider and taller than even the tiny havok and in a full rail yard with loads of obstacles which were easy to clip. Which I did and just barely recovered from.
I didn't get any benefit for the 3 of the same good sale so not sure what the magic amount is there.
All in all an interesting update similar to a lot of the existing stuff with some interesting new vehicles profitability still an open question not sure it will beat the car selling for sheer ease of use and bang for buck. It's a lot more involved and seemingly very solo unfriendly even with smaller numbers of sales.

Getting the hanger in the air base is interesting, particularly as it helps other activities as you no longer have to avoid it's air space.
And as it happens, I had to run another I\E mission to get enough for my hanger, then I bought it, watched the intro ... and then was called away as pizza had been delivered; it was a resupply mission I couldn't skip.

Thanks for an awesome update. I'm desperate to have a go at the Tula, Havok and Hunter. I think the Rogue looks more like a Super Tucano, which is the advanced prop trainer for the RAF (and elsewhere). I wish they had given the Tula a dual fin but you can't have everything, right?
I definitely want my own aircraft, so will Shark Card a bit when there's a sale. I'm just shy of 1m, but after selling off the contents of the bunker, I should get there! I've got a load of joy from GTA, so I'm happy to spend some cash on it. I'll also want to paint my beautiful Buzzard - perhaps matt black?
I was hoping this update would be a bit different but it's really more of the same with some new toys added.
From the ceo crates on the updates have mostly been variations on a theme nothing significantly different
Bunkers looked like it was going to be really different the trailer showed people blasting through downtown in the badass mobile command center defending it with AA trailer driving buggies up into the back and so on but as it turned out none of that was actually in the game. We got some fun missions and some lovely new toys (the oppressor is now the best tool to inadvertently kill yourself by rocket propelling your face into any nearby lamppost or armco) but it was basically the crates again with a load of tedious unlocks this time.
I'm sure we'll have fun with this but I just wish they would try something new

The new powered hangglider thing seems interesting. It's relatively cheap and has some interesting modifications including stealth addition such that you are invisible to radar and a turret mounted gun.

did a few car sales and a couple of hanger sources only managed to get one cargo back.
First mission I got given some sort of large prop plane with a turret one of the ones you can't buy and had to defend a titan with it. No missiles and the attackers were buzzards. Should have taken the hydra or the buzzard the plane was no where near manuverable enough to really shoot them down. I did get two of them but ofcourse a load respawned and slowly wore the titan down.
Second mission I got a V-65 Molotok and had to attack a few cargo jets (the 747 looking ones) with a load of lazers flying around them to protect them. The molotok is much better suited to this sort of thing very agile and shoots missiles fast. Would shoot them out of the sky dodge misiles from the lazers and then eventually hit the one with the cargo which was on a parachute. Managed to snag the thing out of the air and then fly back to base successfully.
All in all a fairly successful evening in earned about 500k and kept the bunker topped up. Unlocked the front facing guns for the mobile operatiions center they cost 200k to install but since it's on the moc I can actually install them as you can do it in the bunker.
Probably going to save up to get a plane or install the plane workshop in the hanger.

I've seen a bunch of people (reddit and forums) who are just using the Buzzard for everything. Would you say that's fair or even possible?
Also, I've seen lots of complaints that soloing these missions is difficult. I can see the annoyance. They are forcing groups by making it difficult to do solo rather than allowing the creation of shared resources like guilds.

I am glad this isn't a straight forward money grinding set of tasks, it is one to play with and enjoy rather than grind out. I don't think it will be a big earner, and that is fine, because we already have those. What it does give you are some new scenarios to muck about at which will hopefully be even more entertaining when we get together.
Worst case, it allows you to fly over the base without getting shot down (this is handy for a few other money making activities), it allows you to claim any planes from the air base (although stealing them was half the fun) and it gives a set of things to do when everything else is getting a bit samey.
Am I disappointed? Yes, for many far too lengthy reasons; but is it a bad that they added all this new stuff to do … not at all.
Submitted by Bigger Rob on Thu, 2017-08-31 14:31
yes I would think using the buzzard for everything would work especially single player as some of the vehicles they give you are impractical for one person to operate.
Most of the collection missions are ok maybe a little tougher than crates and cars but on par with the bunker supply stuff. Most of the failures I've had are down to using the provided vehicle and it being impractical for the task but bunker supply missions exhibit that same issue.
The selling missions (and I've only done two of them so haven't seen them all) do seem a bit tougher with even large groups likely to have problems against any dedicated attack. With the havok one for even a small number of product sold you are looking at multiple vehicles and for a large one a lot of vehicles all sitting there vulnerable while you try and deliver stuff half the map away. It would only take one antagonist with a grenade and 90% of your stock is gone and adding more people doesn't help there are just too many vehicles. Unless you dedicate someone to sit there and defend the heli's they are going to be vulnerable and given the tight time limit and difficulty of the deliverys it doesn't seem practical to have one person just sit there.

The vehicles to unlock look pretty cool too, as does the Vigilante (Batmobile).
It's relatively cheap and has some interesting modifications including stealth addition such that you are invisible to radar and a turret mounted gun.
seems that multiple mini helecopter thing where 3 crate became 3 mini chopper gets worse with a full load
I saw a video where a guy sold 50 crates and there were 16 copters each with two drops to make
did a few car sales and a couple of hanger sources only managed to get one cargo back.
Yes, for many far too lengthy reasons; but is it a bad that they added all this new stuff to do … not at all.
yes I would think using the buzzard for everything would work especially single player as some of the vehicles they give you are impractical for one person to operate.
