This is interesting.. while standard Phenoms have not been able to be overclocked much as they fall over at about a 10% bus speed overclock, AMD's "Black Edition" (unlocked multiplier version) has been shown here overclocked to 3Ghz.
Better, but good enough? I think the Q6600 still has my vote.
