oracle took some company to court over reselling used liscences to their software (I guess electronic downloads there of) and in a fairly suprising ruling lost
The gist seems to be that if they sell a liscence with no time limit then it can be resold by the buyer no matter what the eula says.
It has broad reaching implications for steam and orgin and any other download service but it may be a while before the true impact of this new rulling is hammered out what with the likely counter suits and challenges and so on. Still a step forward for consumer rights (in the EU at least :D) in the new digital distribution age

This is brilliant news and power to the consumer. It will take time to Dev up the ability to sell on games but I can imagine other nations following suit. Perhaps not the US, who live in a bubble but China and South Korea, who struggle with the rule of law, often use EU laws as a template.
