Looks like a mix of Doom, and the mission/AI setup from Death Angel (Space hulk card game, which is brutally hard). The order cards also come straight from Death Angel I reckon...
I like the look of it...getting rid of the Overlord player is a good move, as it always sat in that awkward competitive GM position...
I don't know if I have the willpower to resist buying this. I missed out on Space Hulk.

I was actually looking at the models in the video last night, and wondering how they would paint up. FF stuff is generally not fantastically well detailed compared to Citadel (soft plastic can't really take sharp edes), but I'm awaiting delivery of an airbrush, and it might be interesting to see what can be achieved using the generally larger scale of FF models.
I (obviously) have a fully painted set of Space Hulk :-)

How's Aggro's Space Hulk painting going?
*cough*

Well, the Aggro Space Hulk timer is currently at 4 armies, 1 Blood Bowl Team and 1 Space Hulk set. He de-sprued the first set of models after 2 armies, 1 Blood Bowl Team and 1 Space Hulk.
Based on that, I reckon he'll be in a position to play the game towards the end of next year. He's a bit behind schedule, as I believe his prediction was 3 armies. I may have caught him out by speed-painting the Skaven and Grey Knights.
Yes, remember we're not talking about painting Space Hulk; we're talking about de-spruing it.
I wouldn't want to take on too big a job.

I wouldn't want to put a timescale on you _painting_ it. I don't think I'd have enough space in my house for the Timer for that challenge!
The timer is for a complete de-sprue and assembly only.

Ecclectic have Gears of War in stock, so I'm picking up a copy tomorrow.
Maybe I should paint the models? You know, to increment the timer a bit more...

We're going to need to start using a new unit of measurement.

I agree...the unit of "army" is a bit too badly defined, as it can consist of 16 - 300 models. Models is also a bit vague, as that doesn't define between a large model or a small one, though you could do an arbitary assignment of 5:1 for infantry to vehicle, with mounted units (horse, motorbike) as 2:1. Large base creatures can also be 2:1. Small models can be 1:2.
In which case, using back of fag-packet calculations, I've assembled 650 infantry-size models. Average "army" is 150, so I'm currently at 4.3 Armies.

That's much better. I felt that, as time rolls on, then initial agreed unit of measurement was being stretched outside its original intended use.
Aggro - how about having a de-sprue party? I could pop round one night with a craft knife and we could watch a film and finally put this problem to bed.

He'll never take you up on that!
Maybe I should put some kind of Army-O-Meter in my office, with every model now accounting for 0.006 of an Army.
I now have a copy of Gears of War sitting under my desk. Shall have a root arounfd the contents tonight.
