Pete mentioned that dice with rounded edges (Chessex) don't roll correctly and aren't precise enough. There's even some research. I'm sort of interested in this, I must admit. Pete noted wanted to get sharp edges because they roll more fairly. The video in the link is General Zocchi of Gamescience describing the problems with rounded edges. Interesting stuff.

I am (sadly) still on the lookout for a way to get some decent D6's. I reckon I need about 50-60, in 4 different colours (split 40/10/5/5).
The GameScience dice I have found tend to be sets, rather than one type only.

You're going to PAX this year, aren't you?
Just thought...there is a good chance GameStation and/or Gamescience will have a stall there. Do you reckon you could keep an eye out for them, and if they are there pick me up a job lot of D6 dice?
Indeed my 3 day pass arrived yesterday and since I had no cable tv or internet I just sat there basking in its glory.
I will have a look see when I am there.
I had a good look but didn't find these dice or the people you mentioned closest I came was some outfit called Cheezx who sold really tiny metal polyhedral dice sub penny size. I figured impractically small dice wasn't really what you were after.
Flying frog had a stall I thought about picking you up another of their great music CD's but they didn't have any :)
no probs...cheers for having a look around. I shall have to continue my quest for statistically accurate dice...
Flicking through your photos I see you had a look at Torchlight 2...any ideas on a release date for that?
The current projected release date is Spring 2011
