"BT and TalkTalk are seeking a judicial review of the controversial Digital Economy Act, BBC News has learned.
The two internet service providers want the High Court to clarify the legality of the act before it is implemented."
Hopefully the system will work for once, but I'm not holding my breath....

YAY! BT doing something useful for the people of the UK. Huzzah!
Interesting that a lot of the new regs don't apply to smaller ISPs... I'd argue this is their main motivation, BT chap even says as much.
Although it does seem like Nick Clegg is being a push-over,
The current government has the right to repeal any previous legislation and, during the election campaign, deputy prime minister Nick Clegg said that the Digital Economy Act "badly needs to be repealed".
But the coalition government told the BBC it had no plans to change it.
I'm not sure about Clegg & the Lib Dems atm. I suspect they've reigned in some of the Tories worst excesses, but they dropped the ball mahoosively on voting reform (I do wonder if AV is really worth the hassle)... As Mark points out they appear to be kings of the U-turn n all. Which is a real shame if you agreed with most of their manifesto.
