I love how the comments rapidly deteriorate into bickering about the validity of the fluff. I never realised how seriously some people took that side of the game...

When I worked in Leisure Games (in 96), I remember a couple of chaps in the 30s arguing about various Chapters. I thought they were mental then.

When I was playing 40K the first time round I came up with my own chapter, the Fire Knights. Being a typical spotty young teenager I picked some garish colours (yellow, with red flame), and spent years painting them up really badly. I had about 60 eventually.
I was then totally gutted when I found out that there was an official chapter with exactly the same colour scheme. Not only that, but they had been officially wiped out, and had become a special fluff unit, the Legion of the Damned.
I mean, what are the chances of garish yellow with red flame being official colours? I vowed never to try anything original ever again...

Not all armies march on their stomachs, some are united by colour-blindness.
