This is a wonderful little project where a guy has built a turing machine.

It functions the way Turing designed it with a long tape on a motorised reel a read (line array camera), write (dry wipe marker attached to a servo), and erase head (a bit of felt on a motor).

He then has a load of electronics controlling the device to execute a turing machine using the hardware. It's cool to watch the thing in action.

run it fast enough and the friction should be enough to boil water :D

much like any processor :D
