I like the hexes and I like the little armies and the cities - the cities look cool.
Reading the blurb in advertising, it reads very much like previous civs but with better worlds and graphics! :-)

Agree on both counts, looks like the cultural borders might be a little more diffuse. I wonder if they'll get the diplomacy going a bit better this time around... Its a minor gripe but its the one bit thats never really worked that well imo.
To be fair if all they did was polish the graphics from Beyond the Sword I'd be happy enough. ;)

I agree about diplomacy - it's very difficult to get right but I think there is enough community feedback and big thinkers out there helping to get it right. Hopefully they've listened to them (pretty sure they will do) and beef it up to be more useful.
