A quite amazing offer for a total of 17 game for 26 quid it's got the full red faction series including the new one dawn of war one and all the addons and dawn of war 2. The loveably insane gta alternative saints row 2 titan quest company of heroes series full spectrum warrior and all sorts of other.
I'm tempted even though I've got a couple of the games already.
The offer runs till monday

Bought! What should I install first?
Thanks for the headsup, emw. :)
I too have yielded to temptation. For reference, I started with the original Dawn of War...
I also picked this up...daft not to really.
Any recommendations for games to install for Fishcon? I only have until Tuesday night, so they need to be quick :-0
Even I've got it. Seems like a rather large bunch of games for very little cash.
Saints Row 2 is a laugh, as is Company of Heroes. Dawn of War too.
Does SR2 have multiplayer? That could be a chuckle... I shall get it installed tonight.
I'll do the Dawn of War's as well... RTS not my strong suit (I dump-stat'ed Patience and micro-management), but I'm sure plowing over people in Land Raiders will appeal to me :-)
I left Rob's pc on overnite have Dawn of War installed and 80% of Saints Row 2.
I have also purchased it.......Damn you all
I blame Matt...if he hadn't told us then we would never have known...
IGNORANCE IS BLISS GODDAM YOU!!!
Yeah, Matt, YOU BASTARD.
I didn't buy it so Matt is alright in my book. WELL DONE WARRINER!
Brown nose. Don't think for one moment you'll be safe at the
Evil Mattocalypse.
Dance Puppets DANCE! AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA
Some of the red faction games have multiplayer the latest one "Guerrilla" definately does and with all its building smashing goodness might be quite a laugh in multiplayer assuming it's lananble
I'll install it and take a look see
purchased...
Damn you Matt.
I'll destory you at DOW to make up for it i guess.
I now have Saints Row 2, Dawn of War (+ anything that mentioned Dawn of War in it's title), Dawn of War 2 and Red Faction:Guerilla downloading. My internet connection is going to be shite for the next 26 hours I guess...
I wouldn't bother with RF 1 and 2. The first one was mediocre, the second awful.
6/17 downloaded so far.
Are the full 17 games worth downloading?
At present i have DOW Gold (because i already know it should work) and Red Faction 3 in prog.
I was going to have a look at Juiced 2 which I believe is a racing game of the Need for speed mould see if it had a lan mode
Can you copy Steam Games from other people's PC's? I'm not going to have time to install anything else (I'll be surprised if I get everything I've set off finished...)
You can, don't know how much internet is needed to make it happy once you have.
I did it with L4D2 on my laptop from someone else's account. When I started Steam it showed as downloading very quickly. It wouldn't play and I had to verify the files, it re downloaded two files, then it worked.
Hmm... Might be some Friday afternoon work with the netbook, network sharing and screaming at 3G/GPRS...
...fingers crossed that most of the stuff completes by the time I'm home...
From a sadly outside viewpoint, this feels like fishcon now.
You'd have thought we'd have sorted out a games list MONTHS ago. ;-)
pfft...where would the fun in that be?
Coming up on Friday...Car Sardines!
Juiced 2 is a windows live abomination so I guess we can cross that one off the fishcon list. It would barely let me play single player without authenticating with live first and it said my usual nickname was disallowed as it contained inappropriate language. Which is just complete horse shit especially since my live account is more or less the same name
I managed to get Saints Row 2, DOW + all expansions, DOW2 and RF:G onto my machine, and I've booted each one up in offline mode to confirm they work (god knows about networking, and DOW2 had some weird-ass Windows Live profile shite, but you could create an offline profile, so I did...)
Have peeps moved entirely to L4D2 nowadays? I'm hovering between the combo pack and the individual L4D2 purchase, but if no-one plays the original anymore i'm thinking i should skip it.
@ Skunty - Dwain and Byrnie still need to buy l4d2 and were looking for a 3rd to buy a 4 pack (basically 4 for 3, when the 4th gets sold off it will drop the cost to all of you to £22.50.) L4D will probably get played less due to map familiarity, may still be worth picking up but I might wait for a sale if I were you.
If your up for the 4 pack post here and I will prod people to make the purchase and forward you the gift on steam.
Definately up for that, need to have enough time to dl and test as well. Pretty sure the specs remain the same as teh original and surprisingly my machine was up to playing that so should work fine...
OK. Will purchase the pack tonight and send round details, um, by some method.
In case of lack-of details you can reach me at skunty @ gmail
You send a gift certificate via steam (so make sure they are friended.) They then redeem it to add it to their account.
Ah. Cool. Pretty sure I have you all friended.
I managed to get Frontlines Fuel of war going which for some reason previously would just hang (maybe steam auto patched or something) but that has a lan mode might be worth a look
Have almost all the THQ games installed, LFD2 is installed as are someother steam games.
Don't have:
UT3
TF2
I already know UT3 won't run on my current rig, also no TF2.
Most of the THQ pack is in prog and should be done by Friday morning (fingers crossed).
L4D2 seems to be chugging along nicely (currently 90%). So i should get a chance to laod it up and check it works.
Might need some bios tweaks as i managed to reset my bios whilst installing a second Hard-drive last night. I'm pretty sure some of you guys should have some experience in that!
@Skunty @aggro
finally did the trivial sums and worked out that L4D2 comes out at £22.50 each.
Is bank transfer OK with people?
Also carefully calculated the travel costs and it comes to exactly what you paid on the day Skunty, so no worries there :D
Nice one, forgot about the L4D2 purchase...
