The bloke who wrote the excellent altered carbon series and "Black Man" or "thirteen" as it was known in the states is going to be writing some stories for games out of EA.
Exactly what he will be working on is unknown but having a good Sci fi writer penning some good stories will hopefully make for some compelling games.

Sounds good. Reminds me of the woefully overlooked Hostile Waters, the story for which was written by Warren Ellis. It some pretty top notch voice talent, as well.
Orson Scott Card did a bit of video games work as well, The Secret of Monkey Island and The Dig (cheers Wikipedia!).
You'd think he'd have the brains to get someone to do the game of "Ender's Game", which effectively predicted "America's Army" about 15 years ahead of time...
I've always been surprised that Ender's Game didn't manage a computer game. Shattered horizon doesn't have the plot, but it looks like it covers the basics.
OSC was involved in Shadow Complex (the recent XBox arcade metroid-a-like) as well.
