I hate those adverts, I hate the UK versions with mitchell and webb even more. They make me visibly seethe with rage.
Beyond the presentational issues i have with them the amount of bullshit in these adverts is astounding.
Of course Apple never use legal copy ... what parallel universe does that advert exist in.
The virus thing ... really again ... so I guess all those emergency press releases from apple about viruses and the need for virus protection were really meant for pc users. That whole incident shows this "Macs are 100% virus proof" advertising as extremely counter productive it only encourages people not to take precautions.
The photo stacks thing is just silly. Who has all their pictures in one big pile that's just a ridiculous example to highlight one feature that people are unlikely to use beyond gimmick factor. And besides Vista may not have it but picassa does so what's their point.
I'm not sure what point they are trying to make with the time travel crashing thing, macs crash too probably about as often as pc's in my experience (which may not be typical macs seem generally less robust in development terms)

I find them insulting. They insult my eyes with their ridiculous claims.

I used to react like Matt, but these days I find I can't muster the rage anymore. I just feel mild disgust and disappointment.
And a bit of shame.
That's right folks; Apple have come up with an ad campaign that makes people who use and like their products feel ashamed of that fact. Genius(tm)!
