This is just scary sounds like you could be got for anything over there.
I mean one guy was held for having poppy seeds from a bread roll on his clothes!
Another got 4 years for melatonin an over the counter jet lag cure sold in the US.
And they can do you for it if they find anything in your blood or urine (no poppy seed cake or rolls then).

I think that I will not be visiting the UAE... I'd be pretty much locked up on sight from the looks of it!
They would take one look at you, Chris and just lock you up.
They seem to be taking detection levels to the point that anyone carrying US dollars will be arrested, if the myth that they are all contaminated with cocaine to some level is to be believed.
You have to be careful what you walk through on the way to the airport, with the guy getting picked up for the miniscule amount of weed on the bottom of his shoe...
My hair alone would probably give their uber scanning things a field day! Thankfully the middle east is not featuring highly on my list of go to destinations.
